Sat/Sun 9/10 December. Scrub clearance near St Nicholas park, probably
with community service volunteers.

Saturday 2 December. Scrub and route clearance at the Riccall end of
the track and at the Pluto mound.
Meet at Naburn cafe at 10.30 am for a route inspection ride, followed
by morning/afternoon clearance.

him of ranger workdays, and to coordinate with his work
PH attends York Cycle campaign meetings and maintains contact. Also has
contact with CTC - Paul Hepworth
KG will add Harrogate and Scarborough ranger events to the York website
when they are known.
Contact made with Harrogate liaison rangers Tom and Pat Loucks -
possible future joint ride on route 66 from Knaresborough to be investigated.
Contact also made with Harrogate 'wheeleasy' group, to promote short,
family cycle rides. This could be developed by us in York.
Contact also made with York Cares, volunteers from York businesses.
Ken will post Sustrans maps of routes in Yorkshire on the York rangers
website. at www.rangernetnyorks.btik.com
HT reports his maintenance issues direct to CYC transport planner Andy
Vose (andy.vose@york.gov.uk) because the Knavesmire and urban west York
routes are wholly owned and managed by CYC.
OF has links with BTCV, who will do maintenance work for payment, and
can help with requests for funding. Local reps. are Paul Appleton and
Ruth Canterill.
RA suggests that funds could be requested from parish councils or ward
committees on route, and also through Section 106 planning agreements.
