About us

The Sustrans North Yorkshire Ranger Network, run by volunteers, brings together Volunteer Rangers and Sustrans staff in the North Yorkshire Region.

North Yorkshire is divided into 6 area groups – York South, York North, York East, Vale of York, Harrogate and Scarborough.

Each has a Liaison Ranger (see ‘People’ on the menu to the left). The Liaison Rangers are responsible for organizing a total of some 30 Rangers.

The network shares information across the county of planned activities -  signing rides, social events , day-to-day maintenance and work-days.

The network also acts as a point of contact for Sustrans staff from the Leeds Regional office and Head Office in Bristol.

As well as the website, the network publishes a monthly newsletter, copies of which can be found on this site. Other features of the site – listed on the left – include dates of future events, a photo gallery and links to other sites .
